when he saved the people of Gokul from the wrath of Indra by lifting Govardhan mountain on his little finger.

🌸 पौराणिक कथा

कथा के अनुसार, ब्रजवासी हर वर्ष इंद्र देव की पूजा करते थे ताकि वर्षा हो और खेती अच्छी हो।

परंतु श्रीकृष्ण ने उन्हें समझाया कि —

“हमारा जीवन इंद्र नहीं, बल्कि गोवर्धन पर्वत और प्रकृति के सहयोग से चलता है।”

इसलिए उन्होंने इंद्र पूजा के स्थान पर गोवर्धन पर्वत की पूजा करने का सुझाव दिया।

इंद्र के क्रोधित होने पर उन्होंने भयंकर वर्षा की,

तब श्रीकृष्ण ने गोवर्धन पर्वत को अपनी उंगली पर उठाकर

सात दिनों तक सभी गोकुलवासियों की रक्षा की।

यह घटना सिखाती है कि प्रकृति की सेवा और सच्ची श्रद्धा,

किसी भी देवता के क्रोध से बड़ी होती है।

🌸 Mythological Story

According to legend, the people of Braj used to worship Lord Indra every year to bring rain and ensure good farming.

But Lord Krishna explained to them that –

“Our lives depend not on Indra, but on the support of Mount Govardhan and nature.”

So he suggested worshipping Mount Govardhan instead of Indra.

When Indra became angry, he caused heavy rain.

Then Lord Krishna lifted Mount Govardhan on his finger and protected all the people of Gokul for seven days.

This incident teaches that serving nature and true devotion

is greater than the wrath of any god.

🪔 अन्नकूट का अर्थ और परंपरा

इस दिन घरों और मंदिरों में अन्नकूट तैयार किया जाता है —

जिसमें अन्न, सब्ज़ियाँ, मिठाइयाँ और तरह-तरह के पकवान बनाकर

भगवान श्रीकृष्ण को नैवेद्य के रूप में अर्पित किए जाते हैं।

अन्नकूट का अर्थ है — “अन्न का पर्वत”,

In Indian culture, Naraka Chaturdashi is a festival symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and auspiciousness over negativity.

हिंदू पौराणिक कथाओं में भगवान कृष्ण और उनकी पत्नी सत्यभामा, राक्षस राजा नरकासुर से युद्ध कर उसे पराजित किया था |  यह घटना नरक चतुर्दशी के त्योहार का आधार है, जिसे छोटी दिवाली के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, जिसे बुराई के नाश के दिन के रूप में मनाया जाता है।

In Hindu mythology, Lord Krishna and his wife Satyabhama fought and defeated the demon king Narakasura. This event is the basis for the festival of Naraka Chaturdashi, also known as Chhoti Diwali, which is celebrated as the day of destruction of evil.

नरकासुर, एक शक्तिशाली राक्षस, ने मनुष्यों और देवताओं दोनों को आतंकित कर रखा था और 16,000 राजकुमारियों का अपहरण कर लिया था।

Narakasura, a powerful demon, terrorized both humans and gods and had abducted 16,000 princesses.

According to legend, Narakasura had a boon from Lord Brahma that only his mother could kill him. Since Satyabhama was an incarnation of Bhudevi, the Earth Goddess, and the mother of Narakasura, she ultimately defeated Narakasura in battle with the help of Krishna.

राक्षस की मृत्यु के बाद, कृष्ण ने राजकुमारियों को बचाया और उनके सम्मान की रक्षा के लिए, उन सभी 16,000 राजकुमारियों से विवाह किया। नरकासुर पर विजय उत्सव रोशनी के साथ मनाया जाता है, इसीलिए नरक चतुर्दशी मनाई जाती है।

After the demon's death, Krishna rescued the princesses and married all 16,000 of them, to protect their honour. The victory over Narakasura is celebrated with lights and festivities, which is why Naraka Chaturdashi is celebrated.

नरकासुर अत्याचार और अहंकार का प्रतीक था —

उसने स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी दोनों लोकों में आतंक मचा रखा था।

भगवान कृष्ण ने उसे परास्त कर,

हजारों बंदी कन्याओं को मुक्त कराया और धर्म की पुनर्स्थापना की।

इस विजय के उपलक्ष्य में लोगों ने दीप जलाकर उत्सव मनाया,

जो आगे चलकर दीपावली के रूप में प्रसिद्ध हुआ।

According to mythological belief, Lord Krishna killed the demon Narakasura on this day.

Lord Krishna defeated him, freed thousands of captive girls, and restored Dharma.

🌼 भगवान कुबेर का परिचय

भगवान कुबेर को धनाध्यक्ष कहा जाता है — अर्थात वे देवताओं के कोषाध्यक्ष हैं।

वे अलकापुरी (जो कैलाश पर्वत के निकट स्थित मानी जाती है) के स्वामी हैं

और सम्पूर्ण ब्रह्मांड के धन-संपदा के नियामक माने जाते हैं।

शास्त्रों में कहा गया है कि कुबेर जी केवल धन के रक्षक ही नहीं,

बल्कि संयम और न्यायपूर्ण उपभोग के प्रतीक भी हैं।

“धन तभी मंगलकारी होता है,

जब उसमें संयम, सद्भाव और सेवा का भाव हो।”

Lord Kuber is called Dhanaadhyaksha—that is, he is the treasurer of the gods.

He is the lord of Alakapuri (believed to be located near Mount Kailash)

and is considered the regulator of the wealth and prosperity of the entire universe.

The scriptures say that Kuber is not only the protector of wealth,

but also a symbol of restraint and judicious consumption.

“Wealth is auspicious only

दीपावली की रात्रि में जब लक्ष्मी–गणेश पूजन होता है,

तब भगवान कुबेर जी की पूजा भी साथ में की जाती है।

क्योंकि लक्ष्मी समृद्धि देती हैं, और कुबेर उस समृद्धि की सुरक्षा करते हैं।

भगवान कुबेर पूजन से व्यक्ति को

भाई दूज भाई-बहन के प्रेम, सुरक्षा और स्नेह का एक पवित्र त्योहार है, जो दिवाली के बाद मनाया जाता है। इस दिन बहनें अपने भाइयों के माथे पर तिलक लगाकर उनकी लंबी उम्र और सुखद जीवन की कामना करती हैं, जबकि भाई अपनी बहनों की रक्षा का वचन देते हैं और उन्हें उपहार देते हैं। यह पर्व परिवार के रिश्तों को मजबूत करता है और पारंपरिक रीति-रिवाजों और उत्सवों से भरा होता है। 

भाई दूज का महत्व

प्रेम और सुरक्षा: यह पर्व भाई-बहन के बीच के अटूट और गहरे भावनात्मक बंधन का प्रतीक है, जो सुरक्षा और स्नेह से भरा होता है।

रिश्तों को मजबूत करना: यह त्योहार पारिवारिक एकजुटता को बढ़ावा देता है और रिश्तों को और भी मजबूत बनाता है।

पूजा और आरती: बहनें अपने भाइयों को तिलक लगाती हैं और उनकी आरती करती हैं।

तिलक समारोह: पूजा की थाली में रोली, चावल, मिठाई और फल सजाए जाते हैं, और बहनें भाइयों के माथे पर टीका लगाती हैं।

भोजन और उपहार: बहनें अपने भाइयों के लिए विशेष व्यंजन बनाती हैं और भाई अपनी बहनों को उपहार देकर उन्हें आशीर्वाद देते हैं।

सजावट और उत्सव: घरों को फूलों, रंगोली और दीयों से सजाया जाता है।

अभिवादन: इस दिन को यम द्वितीया, भ्रातृ द्वितीया और भाई फोंटा जैसे कई अन्य नामों से भी जाना जाता है। 

🌼 भाई दूज का पौराणिक महत्व

पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार, यमराज अपनी बहन यमुनाजी के घर आए थे।

यमुनाजी ने उनका तिलक किया, आरती उतारी और उन्हें स्नेहपूर्वक भोजन कराया।

इससे प्रसन्न होकर यमराज ने आशीर्वाद दिया —

“जिसे आज के दिन बहन तिलक लगाएगी, उसका जीवन दीर्घायु और सुखमय होगा।”

तभी से यह दिन यम द्वितीया या भाई दूज के नाम से मनाया जाता है।

🪔 रिश्तों की गर्माहट का त्योहार

भाई दूज केवल तिलक और उपहारों का त्योहार नहीं,

यह भावनाओं, स्मृतियों और स्नेह के बंधन का उत्सव है।

जहाँ राखी रक्षा का वचन देती है, वहीं भाई दूज उस वचन को
